The Company
This Irish civil engineering and construction contractor delivers projects across renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure and general construction throughout Munster, Leinster and the wider Irish market.
With a growing project pipeline, they are looking to appoint a Construction Manager based in Co Tipperary, with responsibility for coordinating multiple projects across the southern half of Ireland.
The Role: Construction Manager
Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll help coordinate projects from planning through construction, completion and handover.
This is a mostly site-based Construction Manager role involving regular travel throughout Munster and Leinster. You’ll work with Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and the commercial team to keep projects safely on programme, resolve site issues and make sure labour, plant and materials are in place when required.
The position could suit an experienced Project Manager or a strong Site Engineer / Site Manager ready to take on wider responsibility across project delivery.

You’ll have practical construction experience and be comfortable taking ownership of works on site. You should understand how to sequence works, coordinate subcontractors and keep projects moving against programme.

- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in project management, site engineering or site management
- Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and construction work packages
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, drawings and site operations
- Must be willing to travel regularly to projects throughout Munster and Leinster
- Full driving licence required
Preferred Experience
- Civil engineering, renewable energy, utilities or infrastructure experience preferred
- Main contractor or housebuilding experience will also be considered
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management qualification beneficial
- Commercial awareness around project costs, variations and programme impacts
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day construction activities across multiple project sites
- Manage subcontractors, site teams, suppliers and work packages
- Develop project programmes and monitor progress against key dates
- Plan labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements
- Review drawings, specifications and construction requirements
- Identify programme delays, design issues and site constraints early
- Attend site meetings with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
- Monitor quality, safety and subcontractor performance
- Support procurement, variations, reporting and cost control
- Drive projects through snagging, completion and final handover
