The Role – Building Services / Mechanical Services Coordinator
This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Services Engineer, Mechanical Coordinator, M&E Coordinator, or technically focused construction professional looking to move into a contractor side pre construction role.
Working directly under the Pre Construction Manager and alongside two junior Mechanical Coordinators, you will play a key role in managing mechanical coordination from early design stages through to construction handover on residential and commercial developments throughout Ireland.
You will be involved in technical coordination, consultant management, design reviews, project planning, and stakeholder communication while helping ensure projects are delivered on programme and to the highest standards.

You will be involved in technical coordination, consultant management, design reviews, project planning, and stakeholder communication while helping ensure projects are delivered on programme and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical coordination across multiple residential and commercial construction projects
- Manage pre construction and technical coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and contractors
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
- Identify and resolve coordination and design issues before site delivery
- Work closely with internal project delivery teams to ensure smooth project handovers
- Oversee digital project setup and project management systems including Procore
- Liaise with design consultants, subcontractors, and external stakeholders
- Support the development of standardised pre construction processes and documentation
- Mentor and support junior members of the coordination team
- Report regularly to senior management on project and pre construction progress
About You
- Background in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, M&E Coordination, or Mechanical Project Delivery
- Minimum 3 years experience within mechanical services, building services, M&E, or construction environments
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial mechanical building services systems
- Experience reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Previous experience within pre construction, design coordination, project engineering, or technical project delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of Procore, BIM, AutoCAD, or Revit would be advantageous
- Experience with heat pumps, MVHR, HIU systems, smoke ventilation, or communal systems would be beneficial
- Full driving licence with eligibility to work in Ireland and the UK
