The Company
This specialist European main contractor delivers large scale data centre and mission critical projects across Ireland and mainland Europe.
With a strong pipeline of major data centre developments, they are looking for an experienced BMS / EPMS Package Manager to join the project team in Sines, Portugal. This is a key technical position responsible for the delivery, coordination, integration and commissioning of BMS and EPMS systems through to final handover.
The Role: BMS / EPMS Package Manager
As BMS / EPMS Package Manager, you will take ownership of the Building Management System and Electrical Power Monitoring System packages from installation through commissioning and handover.
You will work closely with the design team, BMS provider, third party vendors and commissioning teams, resolving technical issues and ensuring system integration, testing and documentation remain aligned with the project programme.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced BMS Package Manager, EPMS Package Manager, Controls Engineer or Building Automation professional with a strong background on large scale construction projects.
You should have strong technical knowledge of BMS and EPMS systems, controls integration and commissioning, along with the ability to coordinate specialist vendors and resolve technical issues on site.
You will be comfortable working across design, construction and commissioning teams while keeping critical controls packages aligned with programme.
What’s on Offer
Salary: €95,000
Allowance: €250 net per week tax free
Total salary and allowance package: Approx. €120,000 gross equivalent

- Must have proven BMS and/or EPMS experience on large scale construction projects
- Data centre, mission critical or technically complex building services experience required
- Strong understanding of building automation, controls, system integration and commissioning
- Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or Controls background required
- Previous data centre construction experience preferred
- Hands on BMS and EPMS commissioning experience beneficial
- Experience coordinating specialist controls vendors on major projects
- Strong understanding of L3 testing and commissioning documentation
- Manage BMS and EPMS package delivery from installation through testing and commissioning
- Chair BMS workshops between the design team and BMS provider
- Act as the main point of contact for BMS and EPMS vendors on site
- Review drawings, RFIs and technical submittals and progress outstanding design queries
- Coordinate third party vendors to keep commissioning activities on programme
- Attend commissioning, client, vendor and daily coordination meetings
- Review L3 testing outputs, screenshots and system performance
- Inspect completed installations and manage QA/QC sign off
- Manage commissioning documentation and uploads to the Cx portal
- Track commissioning and documentation RAG status
- Coordinate technical interfaces between BMS, EPMS and wider MEP systems
- Drive package delivery through commissioning and final handover
