BIM Coordinator – Electrical Engineering & Modular Energy Systems

The Company This opportunity is with a fast growing electrical engineering and advanced manufacturing company based in Strabane, Co. Tyrone. The business specialises in the design and manufacture of modular electrical infrastructure including E-Houses, electrical SKIDs and LV switchgear systems used across energy, industrial and data centre sectors.
With continued investment in its state of the art manufacturing facility and growing demand for modular electrical solutions, the company is expanding its engineering and digital delivery team to support future growth.
The Role – BIM Coordinator The BIM Coordinator will work closely with the engineering team to develop and manage BIM models and technical documentation for modular electrical infrastructure systems.
You will coordinate BIM models for E-Houses, electrical SKIDs and LV switchgear solutions, ensuring models meet BIM execution plans, client requirements and project standards. The role plays a key part in digital coordination across engineering, design and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities • Coordinating BIM models across engineering and design teams
• Ensuring models comply with BIM Execution Plans, project standards and client requirements
• Managing model federation, integration and version control throughout the project lifecycle
• Setting up shared coordinates, grids, levels and structured model environments
• Performing clash detection using tools such as Navisworks or Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Producing clash detection reports and coordinating resolution with engineering teams
• Tracking issues and coordinating solutions through BIM coordination meetings
• Supporting engineering teams with BIM documentation for E-Houses, SKIDs and LV switchgear systems
• Maintaining structured file organisation and BIM model management processes
About You • Experience working as a BIM Coordinator, BIM Technician, BIM Modeler or BIM Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit including Architecture, Structure or MEP modelling
• Experience using BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud common data environments
• Strong understanding of BIM coordination and digital design workflows
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within engineering teams
• High attention to detail and ability to work to high technical standards
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams
