Assistant Site Manager Main Contractor

The Role - Assistant Site Manager
As Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager on a busy healthcare project in Galway. You will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, maintaining programme momentum and ensuring high standards of health and safety and quality control are upheld on site.
This is a hands on site based role suited to someone ready to step up and take on more responsibility while contributing to the successful delivery of a large healthcare development from groundworks through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Site Manager in the day to day management of a healthcare construction site
• Monitor and enforce health and safety standards in line with company and statutory requirements
• Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure works are delivered in line with programme
• Assist with short term programming and lookahead planning
• Ensure quality control procedures are implemented and snag lists are managed effectively
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries and progress reports
• Liaise with design team, consultants and suppliers to resolve technical queries
• Support the timely completion and handover of units to a high standard
About You
• Background in construction management, engineering or a relevant trade
• Experience working as an Assistant Site Manager or Senior General Foreman on residential projects
• Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and site health and safety standards
• Experience delivering housing developments or apartment schemes
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality finishes
• Organised, proactive and capable of working to tight deadlines
