With a growing portfolio of pharma work in the Mid West region, they are known for maintaining high standards across safety, quality, environmental compliance, and programme delivery on technically demanding projects.

The Role: Senior SHEQ Advisor

This Senior SHEQ Advisor role is based on a major pharma construction project in County Limerick, supporting site management and project teams across all aspects of safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance.

You will play a key role in driving SHEQ standards on site, ensuring all works are delivered in line with company procedures, client requirements, and Irish construction regulations. The role will involve regular interaction with site management, subcontractors, and project stakeholders within a live construction environment.

This position suits an experienced Senior SHEQ Advisor with a strong background on large scale construction or pharma projects who can confidently manage site inspections, audits, reporting, and compliance processes.

Must Have Requirements:

• Must have 5 years’ experience in a SHEQ Advisor or Senior SHEQ Advisor role within construction
• Experience with main contractors on pharma, industrial, or large scale construction projects is required
• Proven experience required managing health and safety compliance on live construction sites
• Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction regulations
• Relevant health and safety qualifications required

Preferred Experience:

• Pharma or cleanroom construction experience preferred
• Experience carrying out internal audits and compliance reporting beneficial
• Strong subcontractor coordination and communication skills
• Experience using digital reporting systems and safety management software

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance on site
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Support site management teams with incident investigations and corrective actions
• Ensure subcontractors are operating in line with company and client SHEQ procedures
• Maintain accurate SHEQ records, documentation, and reporting systems
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and ongoing safety briefings
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery
• Liaise with client representatives and senior management regarding SHEQ performance
• Support programme delivery while maintaining strict compliance standards

About You:

• Strong background working as a Senior SHEQ Advisor within the Irish construction sector
• Experience on pharma, industrial, or technically complex projects
• Excellent knowledge of site safety procedures and compliance standards
• Organised and detail focused with strong reporting ability
• Confident communicator capable of working with site teams and senior stakeholders
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving SHEQ issues on site
• Ability to maintain high standards within a fast moving live project environment
