A leading, award-winning Irish civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team in Munster. Known for delivering high-value infrastructure projects across Ireland, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, large-scale utility works, roads, and environmental infrastructure, this contractor plays a pivotal role in shaping the country’s built environment.
With projects typically valued between €5 million and €100 million, this is a well-established firm operating across both public and private sectors. It is widely recognised for its innovation, technical expertise, and commitment to sustainability and quality delivery.
The Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial management of a flagship civil engineering project in the Munster region. Your remit will cover full cost control and contract administration, supporting project delivery from pre-construction to final account.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial aspects of a major civils project
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Oversee contract administration, including valuations, payments, and variations
- Lead procurement activities and manage subcontractor accounts
- Provide commercial advice to the wider project team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor, ideally in Ireland or the UK
- Proven track record on large-scale civil engineering projects
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field
- Sound understanding of construction contracts, commercial reporting, and regulatory standards
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and financial management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple project demands
