The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key commercial leadership role across a range of major building projects. The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key commercial leadership role across a range of major building projects. You’ll work closely with project teams at all stages, from tender and procurement through to completion and final accounts ensuring financial success and contractual compliance on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage production of monthly Value Cost Reconciliation and Forecasting reports.
- Oversee payment claims, project cashflows, and internal cost tracking.
- Lead change control and negotiate variations with clients and subcontractors.
- Identify and quantify impacts of delays and disruptions on project performance.
- Act as the commercial lead, liaising directly with clients and design teams.
- Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers, from tender to final account.
- Administer RIAI, GCC, and bespoke contract forms.
- Support team development and contribute to company-wide process improvements.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a QS role with a main contractor.
- Contractually and commercially astute, with strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities, comfortable liaising with clients and consultants.
- Experience across industrial, healthcare, pharma, commercial, or education projects.
- IT-literate with experience in CostX, Cubit, or COINS preferred.
- Valid SafePass and Manual Handling certification desirable.
- Full clean driving licence required.
