The Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Based in Dublin 8, this Senior Quantity Surveyor role will play a key part within the commercial team, overseeing the financial management of multiple building and refurbishment projects.
Reporting to senior commercial leadership, you will manage costs from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong commercial controls throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will also support and mentor junior commercial team members while working closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 7 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with an Irish main contractor or building contractor
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline is required
- Proven experience required managing projects from procurement through to final account
- Strong knowledge of subcontractor procurement, cost reporting, valuations, and contract administration
- Experience working on construction projects in Ireland is essential
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare, education, conservation, or public sector project experience
- Experience mentoring Assistant Quantity Surveyors or Intermediate Quantity Surveyors
- Strong commercial reporting and financial forecasting experience
- Familiarity with modern construction procurement methods
Nice to Have
- Membership of SCSI or RICS
- Experience with conservation or heritage restoration projects
- Advanced Excel and commercial software experience
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Lead subcontractor procurement, tendering, negotiation, and appointment
- Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Prepare interim valuations, cash flow forecasts, and commercial reports
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery
- Maintain strong cost control across all project stages
- Work closely with project delivery teams to support programme objectives
- Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and consultants
- Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team
