The Role: Senior Health & Safety Officer
Reporting to the Group HSE Manager, you’ll be a key driver of safety on-site, ensuring the highest standards are consistently achieved across this multi-phase residential project.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Preparing and maintaining project-specific safety documentation
- Delivering inductions, toolbox talks, training, and safety briefings
- Investigating and reporting on incidents/accidents, driving improvements
- Mentoring junior H&S colleagues and supporting team development
- Ensuring compliance with Irish H&S legislation, ISO standards, and company procedures
About You
You are a dedicated Health & Safety professional with:
- 5+ years’ experience in construction safety (residential or commercial)
- A degree or diploma in Health & Safety (or related field)
- Ideally IOSH membership (or working toward it)
- Strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and best practices
- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office & H&S systems)
- Confidence in leading meetings, training sessions, and engaging with all site staff
