Job title: Senior Health & Safety Advisor – Mechanical Engineering
Location: Dublin, Co Dublin
Company: Mechanical Engineering Contractor
Package: Salary up to €80,000 DOE + 5–10% annual bonus + vehicle + 21 days annual leave + further education support + EAP
The Company
This mechanical engineering contractor delivers technically demanding building services projects across Dublin, Ireland and Europe, with experience across data centres, pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial and industrial construction.
Their projects involve significant mechanical installations, specialist subcontractors and busy site programmes. Health & Safety therefore plays an important role throughout project delivery, from planning and RAMS through to day-to-day site operations and commissioning.
The Role: Senior Health & Safety Advisor
Based out of Dublin, Co Dublin, the Senior Health & Safety Advisor will take responsibility for maintaining and improving Health & Safety standards across mechanical engineering and construction projects.
You will work directly with Project Managers, engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring company procedures and safe systems of work are properly implemented on site.
This is a hands-on senior position. You will be expected to operate independently, identify issues early, challenge unsafe practices where necessary and ensure corrective actions are followed through.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor with a practical understanding of how Health & Safety needs to operate on busy construction sites.
You should be confident dealing directly with Project Managers, engineers, supervisors, trades and subcontractors and capable of making decisions without requiring constant support.
Experience within mechanical engineering, M&E or building services construction would be particularly useful. You will need a strong understanding of RAMS, site audits, subcontractor management and safe systems of work.
What’s on Offer
Salary: Up to €80,000 DOE
Benefits:
This Senior Health & Safety Advisor position offers genuine responsibility across technically demanding mechanical engineering projects rather than simply monitoring paperwork and compliance.
You will work closely with the people actually delivering the projects, with the authority to influence site standards, manage safety performance and support junior members of the Health & Safety team.
The varied project workload also provides strong exposure across mechanical, M&E and building services construction in Dublin, with long-term opportunities to progress as the business continues to deliver projects in Ireland and Europe.
