Our client, a respected main contractor with an extensive portfolio spanning residential, commercial, educational, and healthcare sectors, is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Officer to lead safety strategy and implementation across multiple active sites in Galway.

Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and support project-based H&S Officers
- Oversee site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
- Maintain and update H&S management systems, policies, and procedures
- Deliver training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Review subcontractor RAMS and ensure compliance with legislation
- Promote a strong, safety-first culture across all sites
- Investigate incidents, drive improvements, and embed lessons learned
What You’ll Bring
- Degree or third-level qualification in Health & Safety (or related discipline)
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior or multi-site H&S role within construction
- Strong knowledge of Irish construction legislation and H&S systems
- Experience managing H&S across large-scale or multi-site projects
- IOSH membership (or similar) an advantage
- Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills
- Full clean driving licence
