This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier One main contractor delivering landmark projects in the Greater Dublin area. You’ll take ownership of cost and value management from mobilisation through to final accounts, while playing a key role in project delivery and client satisfaction.
With structured training, mentorship, and exposure to complex, large-scale builds, this role is ideal for someone who has progressed from graduate level and is now ready to step into a more senior, client-facing position. You’ll gain the tools and support needed to take that next step toward becoming a Senior Quantity Surveyor, while contributing to the success of major construction projects.

Quantity Surveyor Skills:
- Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within large-scale construction projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to produce and explain reports accurately.
- Proven track record in dealing with subcontractors and clients.
- Sound knowledge of procurement and contract management.
- Good problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
- Competent in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Bluebeam, CostX, and Cubit is an advantage (training can be provided).
- Ambitious, career-driven, and focused on progression toward a Senior Surveyor role.
- Participate in procurement of specialist trades and make appointment recommendations to project leadership.
- Assist in drafting subcontract agreements and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Review, assess, and settle subcontractor interim valuations and final accounts.
- Analyse developing design information, advising the project team on cost implications in good time.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to support efficient project delivery.
- Prepare and submit monthly valuations to the Employer’s Representative and agree on valuations.
- Contribute to monthly internal cost reporting, including cost vs. value reconciliations, turnover reports, prelim cost reports, and project outcome projections.
- Play a key role in preparing project final account submissions.
- Provide proactive contractual and commercial advice to project leadership.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Support and mentor junior or trainee surveyors, while participating in training and development activities.
