The Company
This role is with a well-established Irish civil engineering and building contractor delivering complex projects across infrastructure, commercial, residential, and specialist construction sectors.
With decades of experience in the Irish market, the business has built a strong reputation for reliability, quality delivery, and long-term client relationships. Project values typically range from €5m to €50m , supported by strong in-house engineering, commercial, and delivery teams.
Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline, they are now seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead purchasing strategy and supply chain performance across multiple projects.
The Role – Procurement Manager
As Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of procurement across live projects and pre-construction, ensuring materials, plant, and subcontract packages are sourced efficiently, competitively, and in line with programme requirements.
This is a senior role working closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and Site Teams to support successful project delivery.

The Role – Procurement Manager
As Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of procurement across live projects and pre-construction, ensuring materials, plant, and subcontract packages are sourced efficiently, competitively, and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage procurement strategies aligned with project programmes and budgets.
- Source, negotiate, and appoint suppliers and subcontractors across multiple projects.
- Manage material and plant procurement schedules to meet site requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to maximise value and control costs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and supply chain risks.
- Collaborate with commercial teams on cost control and forecasting.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for long-term supplier agreements and efficiencies.
- Support tendering and pre-construction activities where required.
About You
- Proven experience in a Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer role within construction or civils.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and supply chain management.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills across site and office teams.
- Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain, or similar (advantageous but not essential).
