The Company
This established Irish engineering contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering complex MEP packages across mission critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, and advanced technology projects throughout Europe.
With a growing portfolio of data centre developments in Germany, the company continues to expand its delivery teams and is seeking an experienced MEP Lead to take ownership of mechanical and electrical programme delivery on a large-scale project in the Frankfurt region.
The Role: MEP Lead
As MEP Lead, you will take overall responsibility for coordinating mechanical and electrical works from installation through to commissioning and handover.
Working closely with the Project Director, Construction Managers, Design Teams, Commissioning Teams and subcontractors, you will drive programme delivery, manage technical issues, oversee quality standards, and ensure all MEP systems are delivered safely and efficiently.
This is a senior site-based role offering significant responsibility on a major data centre project in Germany.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced MEP professional with a proven track record delivering large-scale building services installations on technically challenging projects.
You understand the demands of live construction environments and can manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining programme, quality and safety targets. Strong communication skills, commercial awareness and a hands-on leadership style are essential for success in this MEP Lead position.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 10 years' experience delivering MEP construction projects
- Proven experience required on large-scale data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or mission critical projects
- Strong mechanical and electrical coordination experience required
- Experience managing subcontractors and MEP programme delivery is essential
- Previous experience with a contractor delivering complex MEP installations is required
- Data centre project experience preferred
- Experience working on European construction projects beneficial
- Knowledge of commissioning and turnover processes
- BIM and digital construction experience advantageous
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
- Previous experience working in Germany
- Additional project management qualifications
- Lead all MEP activities across the project lifecycle
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical and specialist subcontractors
- Drive programme delivery and monitor installation progress
- Manage technical queries and design coordination activities
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
- Support commissioning, testing and integrated systems validation
- Attend client, consultant and project coordination meetings
- Monitor health and safety compliance across MEP works
- Produce progress reports and look-ahead programmes
- Work closely with commercial teams regarding variations and cost impacts
- Support project handover and close-out documentation
