Mechanical QA/QC Skills:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in QA/QC within mechanical / M&E / building services.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, piping, boiler/chiller plant, natural & smoke ventilation.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, accreditation and quality management systems.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills; comfortable preparing method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and non-conformance reports.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with BIM, quality tracking software or field verification tools is an advantage.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; able to work across site teams, subcontractors, consultants.
- High attention to detail and consistency; proactive in identifying and resolving quality issues.
As a Mechanical QA/QC:
- Implement and maintain the project quality system for mechanical works ensuring compliance with spec, drawings, and regulatory standards.
- Inspect mechanical installations on site (HVAC, boilers, piping, air handling units, ventilation systems etc.), ensuring workmanship meets required quality.
- Review and approve method statements, Inspection & Test Plans, material submittals, and quality documentation.
- Conduct and verify testing, commissioning, and functional performance of mechanical systems.
- Monitor non-conformances, record observations, ensure corrective actions are taken and documented.
- Liaise with site management, subcontractors and clients to resolve quality issues and close punch lists.
- Produce QA/QC reports, track metrics and maintain accurate documentation for audits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality processes and help with training & mentoring where required.
