This mechanical engineering contractor delivers complex building services projects across Dublin, Ireland and Europe, working across sectors including data centres, commercial, healthcare, pharmaceutical and industrial construction.
The company has a strong focus on developing its own people and offers good exposure to technically demanding projects. For a Junior Health & Safety Advisor, this means gaining practical experience alongside experienced construction, engineering and safety professionals.
The Role: Junior Health & Safety Advisor
Based out of Dublin, Co Dublin, the Junior Health & Safety Advisor will support the day-to-day implementation of health and safety procedures across mechanical engineering and construction projects.
You will work closely with the wider Health & Safety team, Project Managers, engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, carrying out inspections, maintaining safety documentation and ensuring safe systems of work are being followed on site.
This is a site-focused position and would suit someone looking to build practical Health & Safety experience within mechanical, M&E and building services construction.
Must Have Requirements
You will be a Junior Health & Safety Advisor who wants to develop practical experience within the construction and mechanical engineering sector.
You should be organised, confident communicating with people on site and comfortable working with trades, subcontractors, engineers and management.
The role requires someone who will get out onto site, identify potential issues and follow them through rather than treating Health & Safety as purely a paperwork exercise.

- Good understanding of construction Health & Safety requirements
- Must be comfortable working in live construction site environments
- Strong communication and reporting skills required
- Previous construction, mechanical or engineering site experience beneficial
- Mechanical, M&E or building services experience preferred
- Exposure to RAMS, toolbox talks, site inspections and safety documentation advantageous
- Previous placement or graduate experience within construction Health & Safety beneficial
- Carry out regular Health & Safety inspections across construction sites
- Assist with the preparation and review of RAMS, permits and safety documentation
- Support site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and safe working practices
- Assist with incident and near-miss reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Work with Project Managers, engineers and supervisors to maintain safety standards across project delivery
