Job title: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Pharmaceutical Construction Project
Location: West Dublin, Co Dublin

Package: €55,000 to €65,000 package
The Company
This established Irish main contractor has a strong reputation for delivering high-value construction projects across the pharmaceutical, life sciences, commercial and industrial sectors throughout Ireland.
With a healthy pipeline of work in West Dublin and long-term relationships with blue-chip clients, they are seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major pharmaceutical construction project. You'll be joining a business known for quality delivery, strong commercial systems and excellent career progression.
The Role: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Based on a major pharmaceutical project in West Dublin, this Intermediate Quantity Surveyor role offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor while taking responsibility for key commercial functions throughout the project lifecycle.
You will be involved in procurement, cost reporting, subcontractor management and financial control, helping to ensure the successful commercial delivery of this high-profile pharmaceutical development.
Must Have Requirements:
• Must have a Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Proven experience required with a main contractor or specialist contractor in Ireland.
• Must have 2 to 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement and subcontractor accounts.
Preferred Experience:
• Pharmaceutical, industrial or commercial project experience preferred.
• Experience working under standard forms of contract.
• Strong Excel and commercial reporting skills.
Nice to Have:
• Experience using CostX, Cubit or similar estimating software.
• Working towards Chartered status.
• Knowledge of BIM-enabled projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the commercial management of a major pharmaceutical construction project.
• Prepare cost reports, valuations and financial forecasts.
• Procure subcontract packages and manage tender evaluations.
• Administer subcontractor payments and variations.
• Assist with the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks.
• Work closely with the site management and project delivery teams.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting throughout the project.
