Our client is one of Ireland’s leading main contractors with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across commercial, residential, life sciences, industrial, and fit-out sectors.
They are widely recognised for their zero-tolerance approach to Health & Safety, continuous investment in systems and training, and a collaborative site culture where safety performance is viewed as critical to project success.
With a strong pipeline secured well into 2025, they are now expanding their HSQE team and seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support live projects across Dublin and Leinster.
The Role – Health & Safety Advisor
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will provide active site-based support to project teams, ensuring full compliance with legislation and internal safety standards. You’ll play a central role in driving the company’s Safety Management System and promoting a proactive culture aligned with best practice and continuous improvement.

The Role – Health & Safety Advisor
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will provide active site-based support to project teams, ensuring full compliance with legislation and internal safety standards. You’ll play a central role in driving the company’s Safety Management System and promoting a proactive culture aligned with best practice and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project teams in implementing the Group Safety Management System on site.
- Assist in appointing competent safety personnel and identify training needs across teams.
- Ensure risk assessment processes are established, communicated, and monitored effectively.
- Monitor and review safety procedures for lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, permits, fire safety, and emergency response.
- Participate in setting up and maintaining safety committees.
- Ensure risks to third parties and other contractors are identified and controlled.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements and development of group-wide safety systems.
- Maintain current knowledge of H&S legislation and liaise with relevant bodies and associations.
- Support incident and accident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
- Provide clear reporting on H&S performance, KPIs, and compliance to management.
- Build strong working relationships with Directors, Project Managers, and site teams to drive safety outcomes.
About You
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or related discipline).
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within construction.
- Strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and site safety best practice.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence teams at all levels.
- Highly organised, detail focused, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a wider HSQE team.
