Health and Safety Advisor – Data Centre Projects

Are you a Health and Safety Advisor looking to work on large-scale data centre projects across Europe, based on-site in Amsterdam, Netherlands?

This is a site-based health and safety role, suited to an experienced HSE professional who can ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance and environmental management across complex, high-value data centre construction projects.

You’ll work closely with the project management team, site personnel, subcontractors and EHS leads to drive safe working practices, maintain compliance and deliver proactive safety interventions throughout the project lifecycle.

Health and Safety Advisor Skills:

• Relevant third-level degree qualification in Health & Safety
• Proven experience on large-scale construction sites (3 years)
• Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
• Experience implementing and maintaining Safety Management Systems on site
• Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues
• Strong communication, interpersonal and computer skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a project team
• Proactive approach to risk management, audits and inspections

As a Health and Safety Advisor:

• Support the Project Management team and Site Health & Safety lead
• Ensure adherence to project and corporate Safety Management Systems
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, health and safety statutory provisions and legislation
• Review method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action and permits to work
• Monitor compliance with project execution plans and maintain good safety practices
• Conduct ongoing COSHH assessments and control hazardous substances
• Ensure safety interventions are completed, documented and followed up
• Carry out regular site audits and inspections and manage corrective actions
• Maintain statutory inspection records for tools, plant and project activities
• Coordinate and deliver site induction and training programmes
• Compile and deliver Toolbox Talks as required
• Assist with accident investigations and report findings to project management
• Ensure welfare and hygiene facilities are managed and maintained
• Support waste reduction and recycling programmes in line with project policies
• Attend daily activity briefings and site meetings

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect at least €65,000 plus package.
