An opportunity has arisen for a Grid Engineer to join a growing renewable energy engineering team, working across grid connection, electrical design and compliance for wind, solar and battery storage developments based out of Co Cork.
This role will suit an Electrical or Power Systems Engineer who wants hands-on involvement in grid connection strategy, electrical design and regulatory engagement across utility-scale renewable energy projects from early feasibility through to construction and energisation.

Grid Engineer Skills:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working on grid connection or power systems projects
- Knowledge of renewable energy projects (wind, solar or BESS)
- Understanding of grid codes, compliance requirements and connection processes
- Ability to review electrical designs, studies and technical submissions
- Competent with MS Office and CAD-based design tools
- Strong communication skills for engagement with grid operators and stakeholders
- Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel when required
- Support grid connection delivery from feasibility through construction and energisation
- Develop and optimise grid solutions for wind, solar and battery storage projects
- Assist with grid studies, network assessments and alternative access solutions
- Prepare and review electrical calculations, specifications and design documentation
- Support grid code compliance and specialist electrical studies
- Coordinate electrical design interfaces across multidisciplinary project teams
- Review and manage electrical contractor designs and equipment submissions
- Attend FATs and support on-site installation and testing activities
- Prepare grid applications and manage technical engagement with grid operators
- Support construction and commissioning teams through project delivery
