You are an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor with a background in electrical contracting, looking to join a well-established engineering contractor delivering complex projects across pharmaceutical, life sciences, data centre, food & beverage and power infrastructure sectors in Ireland and across Europe.
This is a commercially focused role based in Ireland, combining head office and site involvement across live electrical and E&I projects. You will work closely with project teams, clients and the supply chain to ensure strong commercial control, accurate reporting and successful project delivery.

Electrical Quantity Surveyor – Skills & Experience: Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Electrical Quantity Surveyor role within an electrical contracting environment
Strong understanding of commercial and contractual management within construction
Proven experience managing subcontractor accounts and project financial performance
Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients and stakeholders
Experience with electrical tenders advantageous
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, MS Teams and MS Project
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative commercial team
As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor you will: Evaluate and interpret project contract documentation
Prepare, review and manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries
Provide accurate, competitive and cost-effective valuations in a timely manner
Prepare and issue contract documentation to the supply chain
Assess changes in scope and prepare pricing for variations
Prepare, submit and agree monthly progress claims
Maintain accurate records of claims, certificates and retentions
Manage the commercial and contractual control of subcontractor accounts
Prepare and present monthly commercial and cost reports
Provide commercial analysis, risk identification and forecasting to management
Manage and forecast project cash flow
Support project teams with all other commercial duties as required
Health, Safety & Quality: Ensure commercial processes align with company quality and governance standards
Promote best practice in cost control, documentation and reporting
Support continuous improvement in commercial management procedures
The Package: A competitive salary of €65,000 – €85,000 DOE is on offer, along with a strong benefits package including pension, paid sick leave, cycle-to-work scheme, access to EAP services, long-term career progression, and the opportunity to work on high-profile electrical and E&I projects.
