Electrical Project Manager We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a leading electrical contracting business delivering large-scale electrical projects across Ireland.
You will take full ownership of the construction phase, managing projects from tender handover through delivery, commissioning and final account close-out. Acting as the client’s main point of contact, you will lead site teams, manage subcontractors and ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget across sectors including commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare and data centres.

Electrical Project Manager – Skills & Experience
- Electrical trade background
- Ideally 5 years’ experience in an Electrical Project Manager or Senior Site Manager role
- Proven experience managing large-scale electrical construction projects
- Previous experience acting in the PSCS role
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost control, forecasting and estimating
- Ability to plan, manage and recover programmes
- Excellent communication, negotiation and client-facing skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop site teams
- Eligible to work in Ireland
- Full clean driving licence
- Lead tender handover sessions and validate projects including scope, programme, risk and commercial strategy
- Develop procurement strategies, delivery programmes, S-curves and manpower allocation plans
- Work closely with the Operations Director to secure resources and define project success criteria
- Establish and implement project-specific EHS and quality plans aligned with ISO 9001:2015
- Act as the primary client interface while managing day-to-day site operations
- Monitor programme performance, material procurement and technical deliverables to maintain momentum
- Coordinate subcontractors and specialist contractors, including BIM and coordination meetings
- Implement ongoing EHS and quality audits and deliver site-specific briefings
- Manage financial performance with the Commercial Manager / QS, including variations and cost reporting
- Track site productivity, provide regular progress updates and monthly reports to senior management
- Maintain comprehensive project records within project folders and the Quality Management System
- Coordinate closely with the Commissioning Manager to ensure testing and commissioning meet quality standards
- Secure certification for life safety systems and lead system demonstrations and client handovers
- Deliver O&M manuals, as-built drawings and technical documentation
- Finalise accounts, manage close-out activities, retention recovery and defect resolution
- Oversee site demobilisation, archiving and warranty support
- Contribute to lessons-learned reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and site personnel and support their professional development
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and emerging industry best practice
