Electrical Project Engineer You are an experienced Electrical Project Engineer with a strong background in electrical design and construction delivery, looking to join a well-established M&E contractor delivering complex projects across pharmaceutical, data centre, healthcare and large commercial sectors in Ireland.
This is a site-focused role based in Dublin, working closely with project managers, design teams and clients to ensure electrical works are delivered in compliance with specifications, quality standards and programme requirements, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and client satisfaction.

Electrical Project Engineer – Skills & Experience: Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services Engineering or Building Services Engineering (Level 7/8)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Electrical Project Engineer or Site Engineering role
Strong understanding of electrical design, installation and construction processes
Experience working on pharmaceutical, data centre, healthcare or large commercial projects advantageous
Strong knowledge of Irish electrical standards, fire alarm and emergency lighting regulations
Proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks and Microsoft Office packages
Experience with BIM and project management platforms (e.g. BIM 360, Procore or similar) beneficial
Strong technical problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Excellent time management with the ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team
As an Electrical Project Engineer you will: Carry out detailed design reviews of drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure compliance with standards
Ensure electrical works are installed in line with project specifications, QA plans and agreed benchmarks
Develop alternative engineering solutions including calculations and sketches for client approval
Review IFC and design documentation to fully understand project scope and priorities
Prepare and manage RFIs to clarify design and specification requirements
Use engineering software tools such as Dialux/Relux, Amtech Pro Design and Navisworks to support design and coordination
Review coordinated construction drawings and manage technical submittals for client approval
Review specialist supplier packages for compliance with specifications and design intent
Prepare and monitor procurement schedules in conjunction with procurement teams
Coordinate BCAR inspection plans with quality teams
Support LEED and BREEAM requirements where applicable
Health, Safety & Quality: Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture on site
Ensure all works comply with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
Support quality assurance processes and documentation control
Maintain high standards of technical accuracy and compliance
