You are an experienced Electrical Estimator with a background in electrical contracting, looking to join a well-established engineering contractor delivering complex projects across pharmaceutical, life sciences, data centre, food & beverage and power infrastructure sectors in Ireland and across Europe.
This is a commercially focused role based in Ireland, with involvement across the full tender lifecycle for large-scale electrical and E&I packages. You will work closely with commercial, engineering and operations teams to produce accurate, competitive tenders while supporting the successful handover of awarded projects.

Electrical Estimator – Skills & Experience: Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Services or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience within an electrical contracting environment
Strong understanding of electrical installations across industrial, commercial or mission-critical sectors
Instrumentation and/or BMS experience beneficial but not essential
Proven experience preparing detailed electrical take-offs and cost estimates
Ability to review drawings, specifications and tender documentation in detail
Experience managing tender queries, clarifications and value engineering alternatives
Strong commercial awareness and cost control mindset
Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider commercial team
High level of attention to detail with the ability to work to strict tender deadlines
As an Electrical Estimator you will: Prepare tenders for large-scale electrical and E&I projects in sectors such as data centres, life sciences and pharmaceuticals
Manage the full tender process from receipt through to final submission
Review tender documentation and identify risks, opportunities and value engineering options
Carry out detailed electrical take-offs and cost estimates
Coordinate with engineering, procurement and commercial teams during the tender process
Prepare and submit tender queries and clarifications
Attend pre- and post-tender meetings and interviews
Ensure tenders are submitted accurately and within required timeframes
Participate in tender handover meetings with operations following successful awards
Support continuous improvement of estimating procedures and cost databases
Health, Safety & Quality: Ensure all tender submissions align with company quality and safety standards
Promote best practice in documentation, commercial governance and compliance
Support a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement
The Package: A competitive salary of €65,000 – €85,000 DOE is on offer, along with a strong benefits package, ongoing professional development, and the opportunity to work on high-profile, technically challenging projects with a growing engineering contractor.
