You are an Electrical Engineer with an interest in high-voltage and substation engineering, looking to join a fast-growing and dynamic engineering environment delivering complex power and infrastructure projects.
This is a flexible opportunity open to engineers at all levels, from early-career and graduate profiles through to experienced and senior engineers. You will be involved in detailed electrical design, protection and control engineering, and technical delivery across a range of HV substation and power system projects.

Electrical Engineer – Skills & Experience: Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
Experience or strong interest in HV substation design ranging from 10kV to 220kV
Familiarity with protection and control systems
Experience preparing engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation
Knowledge of ESB standards advantageous but not essential
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and/or Eplan beneficial
Strong technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and develop
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Safety-focused approach to engineering and design
Flexible, committed and able to work effectively under time pressure
As an Electrical Engineer you will: Prepare electrical engineering drawings including substation layouts, elevations and lightning protection zones
Produce panel schematic and wiring drawings
Design protection and control schemes for HV and MV systems
Prepare equipment specifications and technical documentation
Carry out technical evaluations of supplier and vendor equipment offers
Produce technical reports and design documentation
Support senior engineers and project teams across multiple project stages
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, specifications and safety requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and technical standards
Health, Safety & Quality: Promote a strong safety-first culture across all engineering activities
Ensure all designs comply with applicable regulations, standards and best practice
Maintain high standards of technical accuracy, quality and documentation
Support quality assurance and design review processes

- Graduate / Trainee Electrical Engineer: €35,000 – €45,000
- Electrical Engineer: €45,000 – €65,000
- Senior Electrical Engineer: €65,000 – €85,000
