You are an Electrical Engineer with an interest in power engineering and grid infrastructure, looking to join a growing engineering team delivering transmission and distribution grid connection projects across Ireland.
This is a design-focused role based in Dublin, working on recently awarded grid and renewable energy connection projects. You will support senior engineers while gaining exposure to overhead line, underground cable and grid design, along with site investigations and project delivery activities.

Electrical Engineer – Skills & Experience: Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent)
Relevant industry experience within power, utilities or infrastructure engineering advantageous
Strong technical and electrical design capability
Interest in developing a long-term career within the power engineering sector
Experience or exposure to transmission and distribution networks beneficial
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong general IT skills
AutoCAD experience advantageous (training provided where required)
Strong report writing and technical documentation skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Full driving licence and flexibility to attend site visits as required
As an Electrical Engineer you will: Work under the direction and mentorship of senior electrical engineers
Support electrical design activities including overhead line design, underground cable design and cable rating studies
Contribute to feasibility studies for grid connection options on renewable energy projects
Participate in site investigations, route selection and site surveys
Prepare material specifications, bills of quantities and technical documentation
Compile design reports and detailed design drawings
Support the development and improvement of internal design processes
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams on transmission and distribution network projects
Assist in the assessment of tender submissions
Provide technical support to project and operational teams
Support on-site quality auditing activities during the construction phase
Health, Safety & Quality: Promote a strong safety-first culture across all engineering and site activities
Ensure designs and engineering outputs comply with relevant standards and regulations
Maintain high standards of technical accuracy, quality and documentation
Support quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
The Package: A competitive salary of €55,000 – €85,000 DOE is on offer, along with a strong benefits package including 23 days annual leave, flexible working, paid sick leave (post-probation), maternity benefit, life assurance, access to employee wellbeing and EAP programmes, voluntary pension, structured training, and clear long-term career progression through a formal career pathway programme.
