The Company
This Dublin-based engineering consultancy delivers mechanical and electrical design services across industrial and technically complex projects.
They are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Ballymount team, working across MV and LV electrical design from initial development through construction and site sign-off.
The Role: Electrical Engineer
Working under the Principal Electrical Engineer, you will develop electrical services designs and technical documentation across a varied portfolio of industrial projects.
The role covers MV and LV distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting, life safety, earthing, protection systems and specialist controls, with regular interaction with clients and project teams.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong industrial design knowledge and the technical ability to work across complex MV and LV systems.
You should be comfortable working directly with clients, producing detailed electrical designs and finding practical value engineering solutions where required.

Must Have Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Must have 5+ years’ industrial electrical engineering design experience.
- Strong MV and LV electrical design experience required.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit.
- Experience with electrical protection, discrimination, short circuit studies and arc-flash analysis.
- Data centre project experience beneficial.
- SKM PowerTools experience preferred.
- Experience with generators, UPS, hazardous areas and specialist control systems advantageous.
- Develop MV and LV electrical design packages.
- Prepare specifications, cable calculations, wiring diagrams, schematics and tender documentation.
- Design MCCs, distribution boards, cable systems, lighting and emergency lighting.
- Develop protection systems, discrimination studies and arc-flash analysis.
- Design fire alarm, security, earthing, bonding and lightning protection systems.
- Attend client meetings, design reviews and project site visits.
- Support tender analysis, constructability reviews and final installation sign-off.
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong industrial design knowledge and the technical ability to work across complex MV and LV systems.
You should be comfortable working directly with clients, producing detailed electrical designs and finding practical value engineering solutions where required.
