As EHS Advisor, you’ll provide hands-on support and guidance to project teams, ensuring that all Environment, Health & Safety practices are embedded and maintained throughout each stage of delivery in Cork. Working closely with project managers, supervisors, and site teams, you’ll be the driving force behind compliance, proactive risk management, and a strong safety culture.
You’ll coordinate all EHS matters across projects, ensuring incidents are properly reported and investigated, while also identifying opportunities for continual improvement. This role involves site-based work, travel between projects, and occasional overnight stays.

EHS Advisor Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the Electrical, Mechanical, or CSA sectors.
- Diploma (NFQ Level 8) in Occupational Health & Safety plus a Certificate (NFQ Level 6) in Environmental Management.
- Relevant tickets and certifications (Safe Pass, CSCS (UK), Train the Trainer, First Aid, etc.).
- Experience auditing to ISO14000 and ISO45000 standards.
- Strong knowledge of construction regulations, CDM roles, and working with subcontractors.
- Ability to lead investigations using root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in reporting, presenting, and engaging with all project stakeholders.
- Membership of IOSH (or equivalent).
As an EHS Advisor:
- Act as the go-to person for all EHS matters across projects, supporting management, site teams, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Lead by example and promote a proactive safety culture across all activities.
- Carry out audits and inspections, preparing corrective and preventive action plans where needed.
- Report on EHS risks, KPIs, and trends, recommending practical actions for improvement.
- Ensure site-specific EHS Plans, RAMS, and supporting documents are kept up to date and compliant.
- Oversee incident investigations, establish root causes, and implement corrective measures.
- Support training needs by delivering site-based instruction and updates as required.
- Prepare and issue accurate EHS reports, KPIs, and audits to project stakeholders.
- Ensure contractors are competent and that appointments are in line with requirements.
- Attend coordination meetings, safety reviews, and EHS briefings, representing the safety function within the project team.
The Package:
Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €60,000 plus package.
