We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale data centre projects across Europe, working with a market-leading contractor specialising in turnkey hyperscale facilities.
You will play a key role in supervising electrical commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with programme milestones, documentation standards and vendor performance across complex LV/MV/HV systems. Commissioning Engineer Skills:
- Strong background in electrical engineering, building services engineering or electrical trades
- Experience commissioning LV/MV/HV systems on commercial, industrial, pharma or data centre projects
- Electrical testing & verification experience (minimum 3 years)
- Ability to supervise commissioning vendors, track progress and manage documentation
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to react decisively to on-site challenges
- Understanding of construction safety, QA/QC processes and technical compliance
- Ability to work within a structured commissioning framework and meet strict programme milestones
- Supervise all commissioning tasks for electrical vendors across large-scale data centre projects
- Monitor scope delivery, compliance and progress against the commissioning programme
- Communicate commissioning deadlines and milestone requirements to internal teams and vendors
- Attend, supervise or support vendor FATs and FWTs as required
- Prepare and update weekly commissioning progress reports for senior management
- Participate in daily and weekly commissioning meetings, providing accurate updates and technical input
- Coordinate closely with QA/QC and Authorised Person teams to achieve project commissioning objectives
- Track, review and secure approval for all electrical commissioning documents including test scripts and compliance statements
- Witness commissioning activities on site, ensuring adherence to approved documentation and project specifications
- Manage commissioning tagging processes and conduct daily on-site commissioning operations
- Ensure all required documentation is completed to achieve commissioning level sign-off
