Operating from its headquarters in Co Tyrone, the company is known for delivering projects safely, commercially, and to a high technical standard. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across multiple projects and support future expansion plans.
The Role: Commercial Manager
Based from the Omagh, Co Tyrone head office, the Commercial Manager will oversee the commercial management of a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will manage commercial teams, provide strategic commercial direction, and ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.
This is a senior leadership position that requires proven experience in commercial management within a contracting environment and a strong understanding of civil engineering project delivery.

About You
You will be an experienced commercial professional with a strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure, or heavy construction projects. You will have a proven track record of leading commercial teams and successfully delivering profitable projects.
You will possess excellent negotiation skills, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to influence both project teams and senior stakeholders. Experience within rail, civils, renewable energy, or wind farm sectors would be highly advantageous.
Strong leadership capabilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to commercial risk management are essential for success in this Commercial Manager role.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within a contracting environment
- Proven experience required managing the commercial aspects of civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong contractual and commercial management experience required
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience within civils, rail, utilities, renewable energy, or wind farm projects
- NEC and JCT contract experience beneficial
- Experience managing multiple project teams simultaneously
- Strong claims and dispute resolution experience
Nice to Have
- Chartered status or progress towards chartership
- Experience working on public sector infrastructure projects
- Advanced commercial reporting and forecasting experience
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of multiple civil engineering and infrastructure projects
- Manage and mentor Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members
- Oversee project cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Review and negotiate contracts, subcontract agreements, and commercial terms
- Manage change control, variations, claims, and final accounts
- Ensure projects achieve commercial targets and margin objectives
- Provide strategic commercial advice to operational teams and directors
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support tender reviews and pre-construction commercial assessments
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
