Site Engineer - Macroom Bypass

Ireland, Cork

€50,000 - €55,000



A newly awarded road project in Co Cork. A €280 Million project, which will take 3.5 years to complete, commencing in Q1 2020.


Working alongside the design and build Main Contractor, who have tasked us with all recruitment for the project, we have an opportunity for a number of Site Engineer’s, with a strong groundworks / heavy civil background, preferably having worked on a number of Roads / Highways projects.


The project will consist of a 22km road upgrade, Type 2 dual carriageway, a number of both grade separated and at-grade interchanges and a large number of bridges.


What you’ll need to have:

The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management, 3-4 years site experience with hands on Setting Out capabilities and strong technical capabilities.


Working alongside a Senior Engineer key duties will include:

  • General Construction setting out, Pipe Work, Drainage, structures, etc
  • Experience use of Total Station, Dumpy level and Laser Levels, GPS base & rover kits, etc
  • Keep Good Daily Site Allocations records.
  • Aid with site management including Subcontractors, Plant, etc
  • Comply with QHSE practices and documentation on site.
  • Assist with costs records and plant allocation.
  • General site management

Salary expectations:

The base salary for the position will be €50,000 - €55,000 + Package, (Vehicle + Fuel card), which will be fully negotiable depending on relevant Roads / Highways experience.
