Quantity Surveyor

A fantastic opportunity to work for an award winning, medium sized Main Contractor in the West of Ireland on €multi-million projects in the commercial, residential and healthcare sectors.

Due to continued growth they are currently seeking a strong Quantity Surveyor / Project Quantity Surveyor to join their Galway team.


Quantity Surveyor Skills:

  • The successful candidate will have 5+ years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor preferably with a Main Contractor / Developer and a Quantity Surveying degree or similar qualification.


As Quantity Surveyor:

  • Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, spend profiles and budget reports and present to Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Assist in the estimating process by sending out subcontract enquiries
  • Produce Procurement schedules
  • Prepare Budget estimates
  • Prepare, review and complete sub-contract documentation.
  • Negotiate subcontract terms
  • All subcontract administration from inception to final account
  • Full project cost control including reconciliation of weekly plant & labour against budget
  • Produce and monitor Commercial / Contractual correspondence and issues
  • Assess & certify subcontractor applications for payment
  • Programme awareness and ensure the Project is on track


What you’ll get in return

The base salary for the position is very flexible depending on experience but expected to be in the region of €50,000 - €60,000 + vehicle, fuel card, subsistence, pension.
