An opportunity has arisen for a Land Surveyor / Engineering Surveyor to join a €280 Million road project in Co Cork, working directly with the main contractor.
A permanent position, working within an experienced team of engineers on a 3.5 year challenging project.
The project will consist of a 22km road upgrade, Type 2 dual carriageway, a number of both grade separated and at-grade interchanges and a large number of bridges.
What you’ll need to have:
The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or Geomatics, with 2-3 years site experience with hands on Setting Out capabilities and strong technical capabilities on previous heavy civil projects.
Minimum requirements include:
- Proficient with GPS Total Station and Levelling equipment
- Proficient in the use of Autocad other survey software eg Trimble Business Centre
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- Full clean driving licence
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of the team
Desirable
- Experience in working with machine control
- Experience in traversing and network adjustment
- Earthworks experience
- IAA SUA licence
- Previous road construction experience in Ireland/UK
- Use of Trimble equipment
Reporting to the Survey Manager, working within an experienced team of surveyors, this is a great opportunity to work with one of Irelands highly regarded and long standing Civil Engineering Main Contractors, on one of Irelands largest infrastructure projects.
Salary expectations:
The base salary for the position will be €50,000 + Package, (Vehicle + Fuel card), which will be fully negotiable depending on relevant Roads / Highways experience.
