Health and Safety Officer

Are you an experienced Health and Safety Officer with construction experience eager to progress your career further? Are you driving between multiple sites on a daily basis and you feel you are not being fully rewarded? Your next role could be with one of Ireland's leading Construction Main Contractors working on a high profile project in Kildare with an exciting client.

 

Health and Safety Advisor Skills

  • You will have a third level degree qualification in Health and Safety / NEBOSH Qualified
  • You will have 4+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • You have experience with data centres / commercial / mixed use construction projects
  • You have a strong and proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice
  • You must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • You will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • You must possess a full clean driving licence

 

As Health and Safety Advisor you will:

Report to and work closely with the senior Health and Safety Manager. You will be responsible for a large construction site, ensuring the implementation of safety statements, legislation and company policy across the site and that all relevant safety documents are completed and filed correctly.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • You will report to the Senior Health & Safety Manager
  • You will carry out site safety inspections and conduct accident and dangerous occurrence investigations, within your designated area of responsibility
  • You will carry out Risk Assessments & complete Method Statements as required.
  • You will liaise with Site Managers to ensure Health and Safety documentation is up to date on site
  • You will maintain and track the accident and dangerous occurrence register
  • You'll drive a safety culture by being a champion of best practice; conducting training for new and existing employees on the importance of health and safety on the job; and by suggesting improvements to existing methods of work.

 

The Package:

An attractive package of €55,000 - €65,000 will be put in place for the successful candidate including vehicle, pension, healthcare depending on experience, and the opportunity to work with one of the most exciting Main Contractors in Ireland.
