Job:                           Health & Safety Manager

Remuneration:        £40,000 + Car + Fuel + Laptop + Phone


A Civil Engineering main contractor, working on a number of ground works and utilities projects across NI & ROI have an opportunity for dedicated health & Safety professional with 4 - 5 years Health and Safety management experience to join their team.


Based out of their Co Fermanagh head offices and travelling to site, both across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, the successful candidate will preferably have a minimum level 3 IOSH occupational health & safety qualification and 4 -5 years managing all H&S aspects of a busy, fast paced construction environment.


Duties will include:

  • Implementation of Safe T Cert
  • Implementation of ISO 9001
  • Implementation of ISO 14001
  • Reviewing of training needs, sourcing and organising training
  • Developing and implementing procedures to assess subcontractor competence and review ongoing performance
  • Developing and implementation of Health and Safety, quality and Environmental policies and procedures throughout the company
  • Advising management on all aspects of Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and Training
  • Audits and Inspections
  • Reviewing Health and Safety performance and preparing reports on same for management
  • Development of Health and Safety Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statement, Traffic Management Plans, COSHH Assessments and Safe System of work plans
  • Accident reporting and investigation, compiling accident statistics
  • Developing and delivering of inductions, Health & Safety Training and Toolbox talks
  • Developing and implementing measure to reduce the company’s liability and ensuring that the company is prepared for compliance and any forthcoming changes in legislation which may affect the business
  • Communicating changes in legislation to management and workforce and advising on how to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Attending management meetings


The Remuneration Package:

An excellent package will be put in place for the successful candidate, the base salary for the position will be £40,000 (Neg) + Package, (Car + Fuel card, laptop, phone)
